One revenue stream that artists can create for themselves is affiliate marketing. More specifically, amazon affiliate marketing. When someone clicks on a link you provide and purchases something, you earn income from a percentage of that sell. This can be extremely beneficial if utilized correctly.
Create an account on Amazon and mess around with the user interface for a bit. Once you learn how to create link and use them, start adding them to your website and social profiles. Read the guidelines of the social sites to make sure it's ok to post the links.
The strategy I use is promoting the products that I use. The Pitt Artist Ink Pens above and the Strathmore Sketchbook below are examples of this.
How much you earn is going to depend on how creative you can be driving traffic and converting that to sells.

Pinterest is an underutilized resource in my opinion. I say that because of the exposure potential that artist have on the site.
The graph below displays stats from my Pinterest account. In the last 30 days, I've gotten over 10k impressions and total audience.
This is a great way to get your work in front of others. Remember, people out there want to see your work. It's up to you to figure out how to get it in front of them though.
So far, I've uploaded a little over 100 drawings in "My Anime Ink Drawing" folder. As you can see in the picture below, the Shoto Todoroki drawing has around 5k impressions. The same can happen with your artwork.
It's not enough to just upload your artwork to Pinterest. You'll need to tailor your title and description so that the algorithm will put your artwork in front of the right people. You don't want to show your artwork to someone looking for cooking recipes or workout advise, would you?
Another way that Pinterest can be used is for tutorials. Notice in the picture below I have a bunch of "How to..." boards. They are for specific things that include arms, faces, hands, body, hair and etc.
Artists can use these to improve their skills.
You can create pins and link to websites or include affiliate links from amazon and other sites. If you aren't a part of the Amazon affiliate program, you can join here. I recommend artist join because odds are, the products that you use are on there. People will ask you what you use supplies you use. Why not provide a link and get some income from that.
